about hosting our own site ?

does anyone know a site or maybe you could guide me on how to set up your own website without those hosting service (in home) :

1. can i use those preconfigured server (like PHP triad,easy PHP,etc)
2. what is the step ???? after i installed the server
3. is PWS strong enough (for small service)

Its not to hard, first you can go to the offfical php and mysql and apache websites, and install their software, this will alllow you computer to now pretty much already act like a webserver, after that you'll need to configure where the webpage stuff shows, that i do not know how to do...

and you better hope you have a static ip, or use some kind of tracking software becuse after that all you have to do is have a domain/shortcut point to you comp.

You can use your comp for whatever while it acts like a webserver too i belive.
