Why?

First, Comcast changes the url to it's user's pages from

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jckut10

to

http://home.comcast.net/~jckut10

The first one still works, but I can't update it. Meaning, I'm gonna have to tell people to change their links.

Next, they take a simple thing (Click here to open UnlimitedFTP) and change it so that there's about fifty different webpages you have to go to in their "Simple website creation process," the links of which lead in a circle. I am not kidding.

Third, they changed my password, and then don't put any way for me to change it back to what it was before. Thus, when my autologin expires, I can't check my friggin' email, or update my site.

GEEEEEAAAARRRRRRRGEGGGGGGGEGEEEEEEEEAAAAH!

Meaning, I may be swicthing to ... more reliable web real estate.

Any suggestions?

[edit] OR better yet, a good FTP program. Gah.

FTP? I use GFTP for linux, it works fine. And WS-FTP for windows isn't bad at all.

If you have Windows ME, XP or 2000 you can directly put this on the windows explorer address bar:

Code:
ftp://username:password@host

For example, to access an account at lycos spain:

Code:
ftp://troma:alfanje@ftp.usuarios.lycos.es

That way the windows explorer will show your account stuff and you can operate it just like you operate with a folder in your system.

For Windows 9X, WS-FTP is the best option. I use a very old version that works like cake (it takes 700 Kb more or less).

I've uploaded it to my webspace 'cause this version is not available anymore (2.1). Check it here:
