BIG EXCLUSIVE: All-new music for “Frantic Journey”!!! ;) !!
#21
Well, I'm on a completely different train track than Ninkazu right now... but being accused of being disrespectful for looking at something like tags was the last thing I would have expected...

I personally don't care if someone looks at my tags and whatnot, I mean, I'm just an average-typing person, so they'd be wasting their time, but yeah... I don't feel "invaded" or anything...

I didn't mean to give any offense or anything, I just saw what wizardlife said about you having a bunch of tags and looked for myself, so it kinda lead off his statement.... so... *points at wizardlife* IT'S HIS FAULT!!! (jk, jk,jk ) ...

So, yeah... I'm sorry about the whole... sinking you into the quicksand, and the... wickedness and misery and all that...

To Megaman:

No problem, man! Apology ***TOTALLY*** accepted 100%, fair and square!!! :*) !!

And as for you, Ninkazu:

IT IS ***YOU*** THAT DELIBERATELY NEEDS TO SHUT UP, really!!! Wink !!! I mean, what is your __blatant__ problem, man!?

That is just the kind of stuff that will GET YOU TOTALLY AND PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE FORUM. PERIOD AND THAT IS F-I-N-A-L. Look, you have just cussed me out for the __RATHER LAST__ time, buddy. If this were my forum or guestbook and you wrote that on there, I’d ON-PURPOSE ban you from there ***IN JUST A BLAZING HOT HEARTBEAT***. And as for the “kids killing people” thing, four (4) words:
NO THANK YOU. EVER!!!! :bounce: :king:

I mean, that last post of yours goes to show just how __PATHETICALLY__ screwed-up such a fear-filled mind is on its own, actually. And, guess what, Ninkazu, I am not even schitzophrenic ***AT ALL***, that’s for sure, to be rather utterly 100% real with you. COME ON NOW!!!

War over, and I ***TOTALLY FLAT-OUT NO-HOLDS-BARRED 100% REFUSE*** to let you even drag me down to your level. Literally.

P.S. And I am deliberately NOT gonna even take back the words that I have clearly said, either. EVER. Wink

[RANT]: Hey men, live and let live. Tags don't hurt anyone.[/RANT]

BACK ON TOPIC

Finally I could listen to the songs.

Song 1: Reminds me the ol' nice 80's games. Nice samples and cool beat.

Song 2: This one sounds more "overwhelming". Sounds like a final boss stage. Enervating, that's how boss stages musics should be Smile

Song 3: This one is for a cutscene... I can see "entering blah blah world". I've liked this one so much.

Song 4: Ideal for a techno-alike world. I really like this one. One of my faves. I really love the beat, and the pads, how they bounce, mix, twirl... Nice effects you have'ere, bro!

Song 5: This sounds like another boss stage. I don't like this as much as I like Song #2, sadly.

Song 6: This one is dark, it makes you smell danger! The obstinated bassline drives the whole song, and that is a cool feature. This one can sound like a boss stage, too. Definitely better than Song #5.

I can't understand why people said that this sounded out of tune, I haven't noticed it (and I am a musician, I know how to compose music, musical theory and if something is on tune or not). Maybe many of you found the music somewhat baroque, but if you look into this guy's influences, you'll find lots of games with similar soundtracks. Some bits sound a lot like the Darius saga, which I love, but with a twist and a personal touch.

AAP, what programs do you use to track your music? IT? ST3?. Also, I'd like to know where do you get your samples, 'cause they plainly sound like ol' FM samples of nice ol' arcade games.

Yup, as I said, I liked the first one was the best, but the others just seem to have a strange mixture of instruments that don't sound well at the same time. I can definitely live with playing to them though.
#25
Exciting! These would be great for your game, I believe.

I agree with nathan with his in depth view of the songs.

As for the 'out of tuneness', it's there but not overdone for the type of mood you're creating. When used tastefully, a slightly out of tuneness results in a cool effect, like it does here. Sometimes though, like on #6, it sounds like a track was recorded as a melodic instrument, but is being played back as a drum kit. It still works somehow. Wink

I think the music is fine for FJ. Good Job. Smile

I'd like to know what you used to make these.

How do you make these?

Ninkazu, I think you've overdone it now. I am officially complaining about your language, and I'm also complaining about the lack of moderators/admin presence on this board. I'm sick of rude people spoiling it for others.

AAP: I've only downloaded the first track (I don't have time for any more), it sounds nice, but have you got a song with some thumping bass that I can turn up real loud? That would be cool! Also, go back to that other thread you started, I've posted comments about your site, and want to know if you've read them.

Wizardlife: You should know better.

Dav: why aren't you censoring?

To Na_th_an and Dav:

I ***MOST totally*** thank you both for your fresh and invigoratingly positive comments concerning my original music for Frantic Journey (FJ). (Just goes to show you that even the good _indeed_ OUTWEIGHS the average after all. ;*) !! ) And Na_th_an, I __especially__ LOVED the way you so reviewed my music on your last post. That made it come alive in a WHOLE new way!!! Big Grin !!! And by the way, both of you, all of the music used for FJ so far have **never** even been done through a tracker at all. No, they have all been created using a (ONCE shareware) music program called Sound Club, the one that I have been using for DOS and Windows. And, you can get the full (and now FREEWARE!!!) DOS and/or Windows versions of this ***HOT*** program at www.bluemoon.ee. There, you will go to the *official* Blue Moon Interactive website. Click its logo to see the main page. Then, click on the “history” section to check out MANY of the programs that were created by that very company, including Sound Club itself indeed!! Cool !!

(And by the way, I myself currently use the Windows version of Sound Club. Wink !! )

As for the samples, Na_th_an, PRAISE GOD that He has successfully empowered me to get them from some various sample sites on the Internet, and then convert them in *such* a way as to fit the pieces of them together so that they operate properly when testing out different pieces of music. BELIEVE ME, man, it is *NOT* even an easy practice, but it can be mastered so brilliantly and successfully, so do feel real free to try it!! Big Grin ! Splendid fortune to you in hunting out those good samples!!! ;*) !!

To Oracle:

While I haven’t read your post from that other thread of mine yet, I can see now that I may soon be in the _very_ process of making the a simplified text version of the AAP Official Homepage. You got **quite** some real good ideas going there, to where you are inspiring me to make a go at it, man! Big Grin About your question about the availability of a song with such thumping bass in it, fortunate you, Oracle, because you have come to the right place!! To access it, please try clicking here for the sixth (6th) track of music that I have posted from the rather beginning of this thread. If you want, you can access any of the other music tracks, too. Speaking of which, here they are again in case you have missed them the first time:

And to Wizardlife:

I’m sorry man, but I am plain agreeing with Oracle on this one. And irresistible or not, I really do not even want to see any more bloodletting and gore in my original threads such as this one, please. I mean, if you want to put out something like some animated artwork or an avatar or something at all, _at least_ put out something decent, fresh, exciting, and cleaner for the forum audience. That is all I ask, and I am not even trying to be anywhere rude to you at all either. R-E-S-P-E-C-T is all that it is about, actually. Wink !

Now if all of you will excuse me please, I have a _serious_ wedding to go to. My uncle and my grandmother are getting married TODAY. Wish them both such **utterly** splendid good fortune and absolute best regards as they do tie the knot indeed, with such wonderful respect and all, alright now please? ;*) !! Thank you and bye-bye for now!! Big Grin !

WITH SUCH DEEPEST _WHITE-HOT_ LOVE AND RESPECTFULNESS,

I dunno, I haven't yet found anything worth censoring here. ;*)

I mean, this board is as democratic as we can have it and I like the way it is.

It's just different opinions usually get very emotional. ;*)

Pip. Thanks!!!!

There were too many posts in this thread that are/were out of line. Ninkazu do not post flames/insults; there is a big difference between critiscm and constructive critiscm.

Wizardlife: I think that little cartoon/gif was distasteful and not appropriate for this forum.

Adigun: I'm sorry for not being here to stop idiots causing trouble and ruining an other wise constructive post.
