There was a MASSIVE power serge somewhere and all the power plants in the interlocked grid system shutdown so they wouldn't get an overload.

Anyone think they shou;d work on fixing that?

My power was out for a little over 24 hours. I live just an hour drive north of Toronto.

Here in Mexico City we weren't affected, of course. But we probably wouldn't have noticed anything strange anyway because we have blackouts here all the time. We have flashlights and candles all over the house. We unplug the TV's when not watching so the power glitches don't burn them out. Great service!

Yeah, I heard that too. The Midatlantic section of the Eastern Power Grid cut it off, so we kept our power. 8)

Of course, Texas has their -own- power grid...
