Problem with UGL and winXP
#1
HI there it's me again asking about UGL and winXP Big Grin , I know I already post for the same problem a few days ago but only one ppl replied Sad , so here I give you the detail of the problem so maybe one of you can really help me out here ...

my computer is :
Celeron 602 Mhz
S3 Savage 3D (VBE 2.0)
256 mb memory
AOC 4Vn monitor
OS is winXP

UGL that I use is version 0.022a with mod thingy

the problem is :
If I set my screen resolution more than 320x200 8BIT (320x200 16BIT, 640x480 8BIT and more) the screen goes black and then my monitor goes to stand by state. I already done the EMS thing and it works the only problem is about the Graphic mode. :???:

so if anyone could help me I will be VERY gratefull !!!, since I could not reinstall my win98 because my CD-ROM is damaged and I can't afford to buy a new one.

sorry for my bad english

Strange, update the video card drivers. If that doesn't work either try using 320x200x8 with ONLY 1 page. That will work on any video card.
oship me and i will give you lots of guurrls and beeea

I couldn't get any svga to run on my ancient s3 back in the day ('97) in dos. I don't think it'll run too well in XP.

*sigh* my current ATI can do exactly *one* video mode with UGL: 1024x768x16b. On the box they keep ranting about legacy VESA support, and how it's so great. But it's better than a voodoo at least.
