Hmmm, not at all, it depends on the city. An appartment in Madrid (the capital) can be around $1,200 a month.

I live in Sevilla, in a "students flat", how we call them. That means a normal appartment but old and rusty, so cheap. I pay around $475 / 3, 'cause we are 3 pals, which is somewhat cheaper.

Siendo americano y pensando en dolares, pero viviendo en Mexico ahora y pensando en pesos mexicanos, yo considero que apartamentos en España, en las ciudades principales, son muy caros para mi bolsillo.

BTW it's frases, not fraces.

I'll translate my "frases":
No soy de España, ... I'm not from Spain,
soy Americano, ... I'm an American,
pero mi mama y papa eran de España. ... but my Mom and Dad
.................................................................. were from Spain.
Yo he ido de viaje a España varias veces, ... I have travelled to
..................................................................... Spain several times,
y he visitado familia en el Pais Vasco. ... and have visited family
.............................................................. in the Basque country.
Por eso conozco algo de esto. ... That is why I know something
.....................................................about this.

I'll give you some suggestions on your Spanish:
yo no comprende tus fraces... son muy complicado para mi.
FRACES should be FRASES
COMPRENDE should be COMPRENDO
COMPLICADO should be COMPLICADOS (because frases is plural)

pero yo estoy en la classe de espanol cuatro de mi escuela.
CLASSE should be CLASE

perdone me si mis fraces son mal, o muy mal.
PERDONE ME should be all one word PERDÓNEME
MAL should be MALAS (because frases is feminine)

But, these are really minor errors, Mech --- keep up the good work. One final note: Get in the good habit of starting each sentence with a capital letter, both in English and in Spanish. It may look cool on the forum, but it looks very bad on any other written matter.

Mi hermano esta hablando con una muchacha de España y ella le dijo que la renta de los apartamentos en España eran cien dolares, americano. . .perdoname si te confundi con la palabra "pesos". se como escribir español porque soy de Puerto Rico. =)

Sí, en Nueva York los Boricuas tambien le dicen pesos a los dolares, y pesetas a los quarters, y chavos a los centavos.
