To all of you:

Hello, y’all!! Cool ! Have I got some **exciting** news to share with you or what? Look now, for the continued development of the game “Frantic Journey” (FJ), at first, I have tried to add the new enemies to the _actual_ gameplay of this game using the custom new indexes for the Honeycomb Cave stages, only that even after MANY tries at this, it just DID NOT work at all, due to the enemies *not* appearing like they’re supposed to according to my placements of them on the maps of at least one of the stages! Sad ! So, did I just cave in and give up? NEVER!! Wink !! All of a sudden, an idea has just popped into my thinking, which was like, “you know what, I am gonna add the new enemies using the older indexes (*not* the spriteset) from the enemies of the Organic Stages of FJ!”. And so, I did some of that (with some custom enemy patterns thrown in for good measure!), and HERE was the result so far:

You talk about awesome work, ladies and gentlemen, and this thing is NO LESS THAN a splendid start so far, talking about which!! Big Grin !!

To Oracle and Barok:

I thank you both for your *wonderful* support concerning about my crystal designs!! Big Grin ! And Barok, as for your question about the crystals breaking off into smaller chunks of them when you shoot them, you are _MOST_ correct, my man, as I will program them to do so in the continuing developments of FJ, so you just stay plain tuned, okay please? Wink !

And to Seph:

I am going say this to you *loud and clear*: I am leaving my writing style _right where it is_, REGARDLESS of what you think I need on that kind of style. Honestly, man, if you don’t like that, then too bad, ‘cause I am not gonna even *sacrifice* my writing originality in posts like this just to please you at all. Bottom line: either get used to my style of writing, or get out of the way and find another post outside my style. It‘s your choice, Seph. Wink

I thank you all so much for your continued cooperation now. Until next time, bye for now!! Big Grin !!

You actually figured out how that *index* work? Wow!!!!

Yeah, you could use the old index and come up with new enemies.

Note(AAP): You could change frame sizes externally without messing with the code. ;*)

To Richard Eric M. Lope:

That is **RATHER** so true, my man. Big Grin !! And as for the changing of the frame sizes *externally* without messing with the code, I found that one out already, and discovered that that too is so true. Wink ! And, I PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY ON PURPOSE that only He has _successfully_ first created that original idea (from my previous post within this *very* thread) and planted it into my thinking as well, Eric!! Cool !!

Thank you so **richly** much for your amazingly good comments and support, and talk to you again later!!! :king: !!

Great, specially "Fazilu". It reminds me to the designs seen in "Air Buster" by Kaneko (1990, I things).

I've read several times that you like R-Type saga and Gradius saga. Have you tried out Darius Gaiden? It is great. Another game that I love, from the coders of R-Type II is Dragon Breed. I encourage you to download these from mame.dk

Excellent work, you are a great graphist, dude!

**SPLENDIDLY** dearest Na_th_an,

Hello to you and a _MOST_ blessed weekend to you and entire family, my guy!!! Big Grin !!

I thank you **SO** much that you are truly encouraging me right along concerning my original enemy artwork for “Frantic Journey” (FJ), because I MOST CERTAINLY APPRECIATE IT, PERIOD!! Cool !!

As for the downloading of any game(s) at all (emulated from arcade originals such as Dragon Breed, Lethal Thunder, and even Salamander 2 and Mars Matrix, for instance!) for such arcade emulators as MAME, Raine, Shark, Final Burn, and Callus, no thanks on that, really, to be plain honest with you *completely*. And here’s the thing as to why: apparently, it is _TOTALLY_ illegal for me, you, and/or anybody else to even bother to download those games without *FIRST* owning the **actual** video arcade game that clearly matches the game (and in at least some cases, even the EXACT version of it, too!) that you are downloading for any one or more emulators. And that is the clear-cut reason why I am _never_ gonna even try such games as Dragon Breed, Nebulasray, and DonPachi on any emulator at all. EVER. Sorry. Sad

But on the ***RATHER*** brighter side, Na_th_an, yes, I have tried out Darius Gaiden around over a year ago, only it was actually the *ORIGINAL* Windows 95/98 version!! And boy, you are right, my man, as it is one BRAVELY AND WILDLY GREAT game based on the original Taito arcade classic from 1994, full of _spectactular_ scaling, twisting, warping, and translucency effects, several different endings, ***AWESOME*** gameplay, a two-player simultaneous buy-in feature, and a whole lot more!!! Big Grin !! Without any further adieu at all, do have a look at these following screenshots from the game itself:

[Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%201%20-%20...20ver).gif] [Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%202%20-%20...20ver).gif]
[Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%203%20-%20...20ver).gif] [Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%204%20-%20...20ver).gif]
[Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%205%20-%20...20ver).gif] [Image: Darius%20Gaiden%20(screenshot%206%20-%20...20ver).gif]

You know where I was utterly fortunate to get this **RARE AND EVEN HARDER TO FIND** gem of a software product from? From Electronics Boutique, that’s where, where the game was bought **new** for ONLY $5!!! ( :o !!! ) Man, YOU JUST CANNOT EVEN DARE TO FIND A FLAT-OUT BETTER BARGAIN THAN THIS, believe me!!! Wink !!! True story, believe it or not!

Finally, about Air Buster (Kaneko/Namco; arcade), you are ABSOLUTELY right that it was *originally* made in 1990 for the arcades. Goes to show how well you know your games, Na_th_an! Cool !

Well, see you again for now and thank you for your DELIGHTFULLY WONDERFUL time, my man!!! Big Grin !!!

P.S. By the way, do check out my next screenshot which shows you my high-score in a *single* play of Darius Gaiden (Windows 95-98 version):

Talk about an awesome play **right there** if you ask me!!! :king: !!

Yeah, my friend, it is illegal but you can download them just to see them if you delete them within 24 hours. That is legal, as stated on the site.

Great game @ Darius Gaiden Big Grin you look like a great shoot'em up player ! Tongue I am not very good at most of them, but noone can beat me at R-Type II or the aforementioned Air Buster Wink

I can't wait to see FJ in action. As I have stated 1,000,000 times, this is gonna be the best QB game ever. 6 stars in GFX at least in VPlanet, and this time I won't complain about such a prize Smile

And rel: I was doing exams Wink
