There is a directory in the disk containing the 4 boot floppies for an install without windows if you have a floppy image writer. It's better than Formatting with the full ME install CD and then upgrading like I had to do until I read some instructions on boot floppies.

Just make a DOS bootable floppy that sets up your computer with HIMEM.SYS and CD ROM drivers. An easy way to do this is to get Windows to make a rescue disk, then change the disk to suit your needs.

Another option is to use Nero, and setup so you make a BOOTABLE CD.
