out of memory in repeat usage of qbx
#1
Dear Sirs,

I have replaced my 130MHz pentium with a 1700MHz with 256MB memory and am using DOS 6.22 for qbasic work. Now when I run qbx for the first time (after boot up) my program is ok but if I run it for the second (or sometimes third) time (with the same .bas program) I get out of memory error and have to reboot.
Any way out for the problem?

Best Regards

How much real memory do you have free as compared to your old computer?

DOS 6.22 comes with a program called memmaker. Running it might help free up some real memory, and you can always undo what it does (it only changes AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS, and it makes backups).
