My current program only does a few hundred thousand small iterations per run and it is quite slow uncompiled. 
Where can I get a good Common Lisp compiler? And instructions to go with it?
I have Lispworks and Ufasoft LISP but I can't get their compilers to work correctly. They seem to be broken.
