sprite scaling and movement on a 3d plane demo

Nice. You finally have semi-real house textures!! Smile

You still have some work to do with the speed, though!! Thief, with light/shade and stuff, runs great on my PII 400mhz. Could be MMX stuff that is helping.

Of course, erm, you'd get close to a 2x speed boost if you switched from 16 to 32bit. . . .. .

Of course, I don't know what I'm talking about, so carry on.

Very nicely done. I can't wait to play the full version of this game. Looks fantastic. i was getting 150+ FPS in the demo. I have a 2.4 GHZ Celeron. I'm quite happy with the performance

Nicely done, you have a couple of small problems with the order of drawing though (stand *just* in front of another sprite), but I got 62 FPS out of a 1100mHz Smile

thanks,

aga: switch from 16bit to 32bit? not sure i understand, the display mode, or textures? right now i'm just using DQB

oracle: in the new version, i think i got that fixed, once i started putting in the textures i found out that the sprites are z-sorting at at -1y from their actual position

dan: damn, thats pretty crazy
