BASIC on a PDA?
#1
Does anyone know how to program or run BASIC proggies on a Palm OS PDA? I've tried using CBasPad, but I get syntax errors with even simple programs. I've browsed other programs, but none of them seem to work.
There are two reasons I want to do this:
1. I really want to show off my geekyness to my friends Big Grin
2. I want to use a program I wrote for timing debate rounds (db8 rules!)

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

NS Basic is popular and seems well done. It's pricey -- current version is $149, but there's a demo to try for free. You might still be able to find earlier shareware versions around that are less crippled and compiles ok. Progs require a runtime.

I had a Palm (handspring), but got a ipaq Pocket PC now and use Qbasic on it thanks to a great DOS emu called PocketDOS. Programs made in QB45 run fine on it too.

Dav: PocketDos is awesome. My freind got it and thats all he does during assemblys.

andrewman: I can't help you there, but ive heard that Dell makes good software for their palms. check their site and see what they've got.
