Friend M@ilman, your request is not clear.
"take a small line out of the win.ini file" ---- how does your program know what line to take out? Is there some unique data on that line that your program gets as input?

"delete a folder" ---- a folder is a Windows term. For QB running under MSDOS, you'll need to know the full-path in 8.3 MSDOS format of this directory that you want to delete. How does your program get this information? I assume you first want to delete all the files in this directory. There better not be any system, hidden, or read-only files in this directory, and the directory itself better not be hidden. I say "assume" because handling any of these extraordinary conditions takes extra work.

So now, would you please shed a little light on your request.
