Quote:Well, sorry for the off-topicness, but I don't believe that a 15 years old boy is able to drive. I never understood that.

Most crashes in my country have young people involved.

Emmm...didn't you just say you couldn't drive? So how would you know whether or not a 15 year old is able to?

I've been driving since I was 14...

I mean that a 15 years old boy is not responsible enough to put lifes in danger with a car. But what am I saying? If with that age a father buys an air rifle to his son (and an air rifle can kill)...

Well, I was 15 some time ago and I know what's that. I wouldn't like to see 15 year old kids driving cars. I feel lucky 'cause here you have to be 18, pass a teoric exam, then have driving classes, and pass a practic exam that is really hard. We don't give the license to the first kid that's been bought a car when he is 15 to impress girls. And even that way, fatal crashes is the biggest cause of decease among youngsters. And most casualities in fatal crashes are of (and because of) youngsters.

You can drive a motorcycle (49 cc or less) since you are 14, I think. That is somewhat stupid as well, but at least a motorbike kills less people when a fatal crash happens.

Zack, sorry I'm a little late in responding back to this post again Wink

Like I said in my original response, your form needs to be enctype=multipart/form-data. That means that needs to be put into the form tag itself. I was kinda hoping you'd catch the hints and use the info I gave you to research all the info you needed, I just wanted to give you a step in the right direction Big Grin Anyways, did you get what you needed?
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

I think it has to do more with experience than with age. If you push back the age to 18, you'll still have inexperienced drivers.

(and drunk drivers cause far more deaths than driving teenagers do...)

Guys, guys, this isn't a discussion about driving lessons...
Ado: I gotcha. I looked it up on php.net, they didn't say anything like that.
Anyway, I'll compare your and Oracle's scripts, see which one I like better, runs faster...
Thanks, both of ya. Smile I feel that people don't like emailing files, but if they can upload em' straight...

Zack,
It is good to stay on topic, and I realize that you do want your question answered, but having some freedom to get off topic from time to time is what makes it a community rather than just a programming information center.

True, true - I just didn't want all the 15-year-olds here indignantly saying that they should be able to drive, and the older people retaliating...
Ah, whatever. I just didn't want my post to house an argument.

And Oracle, I'm running into problems with that upload script.
I changed it to my needs, created an uploads directory (called "uploads") and CHMODed it to 777, and when I upload files, they aren't there.
And also, something weird: I have a page, upload.php, which says blah blah, you can upload files, and then it links to upscript.php, which is your script. Then, after I select a file to upload, and click Upload, it just takes me back to that upload.php page. :???:
I ran over the code, to see if you had included any automatic refresh headers...but no.
