Could one of the people with FTP access go to www.phpbbhacks.com and get the "Last Topic in Index' (or something similar) mod? Basically on the forum's index page, it includes the last topic posted in, along with who posted in it. It's a small thing, but it's pretty convenient.

Don't see a problem with that... I have to still add a global announcement mod so I'll include that in the update whenever I do it.
