I think freeze is good, and it's diffrent from speed drain, becouse speed drain slows down the opponent for some time, and freeze freezes the opponent for a short time.
You could add some kind of direction special power thing, so that when it's used the player gets in the same direction as the opponent, so the player can just accelerate against the opponent, but it shouldn't last a very long time.
