Your readme states that this is the only text library and that only you and na_th_an play with text mode. I'd like to point out that I wrote a text mode libary a couple of years ago. It's main purpose was to just support more text modes and give an easy access method to them, however.
Anyway, if you want to see it I'll send you a copy.

At the special text mode demo part, my screen went
black and the OSD said "out of range 28.3K 63Hz"

It is that your monitor doesn't support that resollution, or that your video card is not sending the correct information. Modern video cards don't spend much time in hi-res text modes

Sure, that'd be great.
Although it is true...I've looked around quite a bit and have never seen anyone do a library like this before...I wrote the original Useless Sock in 1999, it had only some basic stuff, such as lines, circles, boxes, and sprites. The newer stuff ilke BMP support and tweaked modes is 2003-2004 stuffs.
Nice to know someone else messes with textmode
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Well, as I said, mine only supports more text modes and an easy way to access then, nothing more.
I'd love to find out how you got the 512 character mode to work. I've been searching for it but the only things I found were Linux references to functions to do it.
I saw the code to do it, but I would like to know what that code does (my VGA reference manual isn't here).

I built the 512 characters routine out of the explanation that I found in a book. In spanish it is called "PC Interno", I dunno how it is called in English.
Search in this forum, I posted the QB code.

Hmm, like red_marvin, I also get a signal out of range error. Shame. The other parts of the program are decent, though. Good support! When are we gonna see some of your text beat 'em up, Ado?

My guess would be "PC Internals"
I've heard of such a book titled just that in English, but alas, I do not own a copy :\

When I try to load a new font, the screen is completely filled with a bunch characters, some in weird positions. But only if I'm running with the window maximized. :???:
