--- Meg : I have been hosting a BBS since 1980 (24+ years) and I would love to host your game on my BBS if you make it available. I also dropped you a PM about getting help to convert some source code I have of some older doors so I can get them to work with a fossil driver as opposed to trying to access the com port direct.

After browsing through this thread, it appears many here are "new" to BBSing to some extent. I host over 250+ online doors on my BBS if you want to drop in an check them out:

telnet://gamemastersrealm.com

It's online 24/7 with 8 nodes.

There is already an old door called: Dungeons & Dragons BBS (was actually a BBS software that can be run as a door) but also many many other D&D doors as well as other types, many written in QB for sure.

Game Master
GameMaster's Realm
online since 02/15/80

Edit: March 2005

I've spent some time searching through the old code and I think I've found the problem that was causing the program to crash. Now that it's identified, I'm actually starting to rewrite the main game engine. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep most of my data files as they were, because a majority of the room events are stored in external data.

=========================================

To anybody who was interested in this game.. I'm going to be recoding this monster--from scratch--over the next few months. When I get a trial version up and running I'll let you know. I'm going to need playtesters!

When the new version is done, I'll post the source code someplace for all to share, since I've gotten a few messages sitting in my mailbox from people looking for information on how to code door games in QB.

It's good to be back.

*peace*

Meg.
