Quote:Hm... well I just played one modern FPS: JK2. Awesome!

JK2 is an excellent game, even by the standards of the stuff coming out now. It's so big and beautiful. The only visual effect my r7500 couldn't handle was the volumetric shadows. [Image: drool2.gif]

And anyone who doesn't like Halo either hasn't given at a serious try or doesn't deserve to play modern video games. [Image: biggrin.gif] The co-op mode in it is brilliant entertainment.

Well, you win, I'll give it another try Big Grin

Btw, have you seen Half Life 2? I got the "stolen W.I.P. version" and saw the videos. :o awesome. If you have broadband download them. They are over 100 Megs each, but they deserve it. The Stolen W.I.P. version took 1.5 Gigs more or less. There were lots of stuff missing (textures and that), but the phisics were there and WHOAAA!!! The thing that I liked most is that it ran fairly good in my portable (that has an ATI dunno-what video card really trimmed!!) which means that the finished product will run even better.

Also, Doom 3 and Quake 4 are what I am expecting. I need Doom 3. GGGGGRRRR. NIN on the OST again, this is gonna rock. I wanna feel the PAIN!!! Check the SCREENSHOTS!!!: http://www.computergaming.com/article2/0...443,00.asp

Doom III is cool as well, I know Wink Scorp downloaded the demo once but it ran like crap... it seemed the minimum system requirements are for him 2 GHz and a very good videocard, at least! Big Grin

Yeah, that's what happens with unfinished demoes and preview versions. Note that the Doom III demo was not oficially released. Basicly, they first code and then they optimize. Quake III's first demo needed a 500 + Geforce, the final game ran in my 233 with the Voodoo. I think that the game will need a 1,5 Ghz+ computer and a good video card (GeForce FX whatever). Time to update video card Tongue

I remember playing the Heavy Metal demo which used the Quake III engine...holy crap did it run like that dead turtle I was talking about the other day. I had a P200 at the time I think, with some integrated video card. I imagine it'd work better on my current system though, eh? Smile
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
