Whats the most difficult part of programming? 3D Math stuff?

The most difficult part of programming is advanced computer science, without a doubt...stuff like expression parsing and compiler-making.
Of course, making an OS is hard too. So is making a virus.

and the most difficult part of computer science is not programming at all.

Erm...

I mean that in "computer science", usually there are tons of BS things that involve invented math stuff.

Like NP completeness theory? ;-)

Quote:3.) How long will it take me to learn all of QB and where should I go after i'm done learning from that site?

4.) Will QB make AP Computer Science easy? *They use Java*

You never really learn /all/ of any language, most are far too complex when you take into account all the available libraries and tools available. Where you should go after learning QB will be based on your interests. earning QB will help you understand what is involved in creating software, be it games, office applications, music players or an operating system. Once you start your computer science courses you will probably become interested in a specific aspect of computer science which will require knowledge of certain tools and languages.

Learning QB will help you with the programming side of computer science, but computer science isnt all about programming. It is a science and involves learning about experimentation and analysis, for example you might analytically compare to compression algortihms on different sorts of files. I have done several computer science papers that involved little or no programming at all.

Zack, nothing is difficult in Computers. You should just have the inclination and interest and you will be able to make it. Thats what I like about computers =). Also, theres documentation about everything under the sun. So all you need to do is get info about what you want to make, get the proper h/w, s/w tools and you're set =).

Okay, you like computers, and you have the inclination to learn, right, TBBQ?
Well, have you ever written an expression parser?

I've written a almost complete scripting language myself =P along with a fake OS which i never got around to complete due to time constraints =(. Its on halt for now. But some day I will complete it =).

Have a look at it (screenies):

A very very very very early demo of it was:
