This post is regarding your QB downloads. There is some stuff that I would like you to fix, if possible:
1.- QBasic 1.1 is not the first version of QB. In fact, it came in 1993 after QBasic 1.0, which came out in 1990 after QB 4.5. M$ just wanted a easy interpreter to include with MSDOS 5 and 6. QBasic 1.1 came with MSDOS 6.22 and Windows 9X.
2.- QB 3.0 is way better than 2.0. In fact, QB 2.0 is really buggy. I could send you QB 2.1 which fixes all the bugs. QB 3.0 improves language wise. Personally I never used it, but my friend Clarita began with that compiler and she says it is fast and nice.
3.- You both still lack QBasic 1.0 and Bascom. I can send you those as well.
4.- Your QB40.ZIP file is corrupted and can't be extracted. Winzip claims that 4 bytes are missing. You can download a valid archive here: http://piano.dsi.uminho.pt/disciplinas/T...d/qb40.zip
5.- You both should include VBDOS, which is really hard to find.
6.- I believe you don't have the complete (9 megs!) version of PDS. Am I wrong?
And that's all
Btw, oracle, you have Moonrock .16 in your site. The last version is Moonrock 0.50 which can be downloaded here: http://www.rowan.sensation.net.au/moonrock.html . I coded a lot for this nifty tiny compiler. I could not find QB45 and the communty until summer of 2000, so all I had was QBasic 1.0. This great little compiler was one of my only ways to compile something that looked like basic. Having games under 10 Kb is also great
The best thing about moonrock is that it is coded in QB. Rowan (the author) is always investigating about simple compilers. You can check his other stuff at his site as well.
Cheers.
