wikiFAQ contents changed (graphics section)
#1
I just finished the reworking the graphics section organization of the FAQ.

*Everything is categorized into two main parts:
"Graphics modes" and "Graphics concepts". Thus, each FAQ entry is listed twice.

*Both the individual "graphics modes" and the entire "graphics concepts" sections are further categorized into 3 parts: "graphics primitives", "more complex graphics techniques", and "other graphics stuff".

*I added a specific naming convention for all FAQ entries:
For specific screen modes: [topic]InScreen[screen number]
For general topics: [topic]General
For library-specific topics: [topic]In[library name]

*Don't worry, I didn't delete anything, just changed entry names or moved to different sections of the FAQ. (at least I'm 99.99% sure about that..) The only thing I moved out of the graphics section entirely is Glenn's SVGA mouse code. (into the InputDevicesTopics section of the FAQ.)

The WIKI's on my list of things to edit later... if this categorisation is fine I'll use it on the new version (but this is *much* later on, I've got other things to do first).

What do you mean new version?

I've changed everything worth changing already...

I'm gonna trash the old wiki and make a nice, shiny new design, with better navigation, more prominence etc etc... Don't worry, you'll still be able to add/remove/modify etc etc, but it'll be more secure and easy to navigate.

..... but all the information will still be there?

EDIT:

Speaking of changes, it would be nice to have an SQL-ish addition:
The ability to select certain files by using their string names.. would be much easier to do what I did with the graphics section.

Example:

Code:
<select "*inScreenThirteen">
And that would just show all the files ending in "inScreenThirteen" (with their "- blablabla" descriptions.. ) in the text. So that would mean a hidden field would have to be added for each file.

Just wondering if you had a chance to try the hack of TheBob's golf game yet. (As I really wrote it for you)

Ok, Mac, I tried it.

You did indeed hack TheBob's game very nicely. If only he made more levels...

IE, you want it categorised. Well, that's the plan Wink

And yes, all the data will remain.

Also a tag field would be nice.

Any amount of tags per file.

A list of files according to AND/OR/NOT statements:

<list "screen 13" AND "graphics">

Complete system with parentheses and XOR and stuff would be even better...

... so you want to be able to search the database? :lol:

That can be arranged, but I've got other stuff to do at the moment...
