I'm developing an RPG in PowerBasic. I can't believe the execution speed difference with virtually identical code (RGB, it uses the WOS engine, modified slightly for PB). To say that the only bottleneck is in the assembly-based graphics routines which are $LINK'd into the program is...well, sad. But true.
