About TBN...

A lot of people have asked what's up with the forum. Well, here goes:
1) Me and nek are sick of our dc's downtime so we are moving to another datacenter.
2) TBN is closed in order to restore the database backup we made a few days ago, in case something happened before the move and we would have lost any changes to the forum. No worries tho, all data is backuped and secured.
3) Nodveidt.net is changing to digitalblackie.com (Digitalblackie Computer Services [/shameless plug :lol:]) and we are moving all the data to the new servers. Needless to say, this is gonna take awhile with dialup....oh the joys.
4) If you have any questions, email me at epona-rhi @ blueyonder.co.uk since the other accts will be going thru dns changes, and until they propagate, they may not be accessable to me.
5) Anyone with accts at nodtveidt.net, now's the time to say so, so i can get everything transfered properly,

Any estimate as to when TBN will be up and running?

I would say around Saturday. I have to change the nameservers to all the domains, so that's around 72 hours to propagate. So Saturday is a safe estimate.

Ah. Going offtopic a bit here, but perhaps you can answer my question...
I've noticed that it takes days to register the proper nameserver when I registered thegeekery.org. Why is that? What takes so long?

what do you mean, when you change the nameserver? If you are changing the nameserver of your domain, it takes around 72 hrs for all the dns servers in the world to refresh and change to the new entry.

Sorry, not change the nameservers, I mean change the reference to the nameservers. The domain name has settings, enter your hostings' nameservers. When you change those settings, it takes days to take effect. Why?
