Petition to Microsoft
#31
Quote:
Petition Wrote:131. Stephen Colburn Microsoft please keep QBASIC to yourself. It sucks, and you shouldn't release it to the general public. Thank you.

 Thanks Steve....

Any way we can get his signature removed?

But that would be nazism, removing voices of protest like that Smile

Hardly, its a deliberate attempt to be nasty to qb fans if we are honest, not your ordinary polite opinion!

In a "real" petition (as in actual signatures) I don't think they allow people to comment like that...

So what? These are 'modern', 'electronic' times =P. Besides all the signatures are in a virtual world stored on magnetic media =P. Ultimately they are just weak electromagnetic fields. They are the ones who will get Microsoft to make QB freeware =).

All hail EM fields!

[I am blabbering ]

And I know that this has been posted elsewhere...

The Qmunity will not move its butt until microsoft starts cracking down on sites which distribute their copyrighted products free of cost i.e. pirate it =P.

Qbasicnews is a fairly quiet forum. It's very very active, but only the same people are very frequent posters. I like it this way myself, since spamming fools are more of a rarity, but we're not going to get a thousand sigs just here alone.

We need to advertise the petition at other sites as well, and let other programmers (that aren't anti-QB) know about it...
