Hi everybody I'm new in here. Anybody can help me to answer these 2 questions please? I will ask and answer. I want to tell If my answer is right or no.

Which of the following is correct about the LET statement?

A . The LET statement is required when assigning a value to a variable.
B . The LET statement is optional when assigning a value to a variable.

The answer is B

The statement INPUT "Interest Rate" I prints

A . Interest Rate to the screen and sets the variable i equal to the user's input
B . INPUT Interest Rate to the screen and sets the variable i equal to the user's input

The answer is B

Just start up qb, you don't need us to answer. You don't need LET, that's an archaic statement included in QB to ensure backwords compatibility with older Microsoft BASIC compilers. It's not a bad programming practice though, you just don't need it. And while I've never tried this, you'll probably get an error for the input because you havent provided a variable to store it into.

B is wrong. It won't print INPUT to the screen. And you need a comma before the i

LOL I actually, disabled guy and studying in distance shcool and i try to be of everything I get. So thats wasn't home work as you think :wink: Anyway thank alot 4 your help guys.

I'm guessing na_th means that qb = QuickBASIC (the versions with compilers) and QBasic = QBasic (version without a compiler)

thx oracle and nathan. i think i understand now. ok. so if i wrote qbasic when i mean quickbasic, is there really that big of a difference tho? before reading this i always changed them and stuff. so yea.
