Help File: Well, that's not completely true. I learnt BASIC when I was a child in my ol' 8 bit computer (Sinclair ZX Spectrum) using a funny book called "BASIC para niños" (BASIC for children). When I switched to PC/QBasic I knew some basics and I just looked for new commands and new ways to do things. Then I got ABC code and looked other people's code, and that way I learned 100x what I knew in that time.

Then I began researching lots of stuff concerning QB, and I teached myself in the deep topics just "trying and being wrong" Wink

Currently I'm working on my RMDS)

Hmmm, qb? I GW-Basic at school, real basic stuff like print, input, let, cls

(this is long...and it tells my whole programming history)

then i started to think about how to make games (u must comprehend i did not know how games are programmed AT ALL...i thought it was cartoon style, everything is predrawn...i was about 10)

about 1 year later i started on C++...didnt get anyway...i learned until pointers, found it too hard, and quit...i moved to web programming

in one week i had learned html and basic javascript, and by then end of the month i had mastered the basics of flash

at 12, i tried c++ again...i found it a little easier, but then i came acroos qb in my win95 folder (i was little more explorative by now)...i found qbasic11...i made some very basic stuff, and then found it annoying that i couldnt compile, so i got qb45 off my uncle 1 week later.

in about half a year i could move a sprite across the screen...

1 year later i tried windows gaming...VB was good choice, so i started learning that...i made good progress cuz i new alot of the coding from qb...but then directx was too hard and not worth the effort so i went into gaming packages...loved Game Maker, and learned it fully...including GML

as usual, i went back to qb and expanded my knowledge some more, having found a basic book in school

if i got the dates correct, i should have been 14 now, and so i came across qbnews...which i adored and loved...and wildcard was like my idol for having created this site...at the time there was a posting for admin help, i offered and good ol wildcard accepted...

now, about 1.5 yrs after THAT, i am admin again...talking to u guys...

now, i have learend more advanced qb, with asm, more c++, php, html, jscript, css, basic pascal, etc

damn i have alot of time...no i dont..i gotta do maths hwk  hehehehe cya

Boy it has been a while!

I first started on GW-BASIC and BASICA and learned most of the commands from the GW manual and then found QB on an old 286 computer and went on from there.
