Novix 2.5.0.3, I need feedback and suggestions!

I like the new boot up splash screen.

What language is Novix written in anyway? I saw something about pmode...

BASIC and ASM
It's written in BASIC (PDS 7.1) with the help of v1ctor's B4G asm library.

I'm working on the GFX part now, trying to get it faster.
I'm also looking into the possibility of allowing multitasked BIN files to run (the 'call absolute' kind)
Multitasking NS5x and ASM files, that would be something.

I have a crazy idea about creating a DLL format for Novix, multitasked ofcourse. That would allow users to include their own favourite library (FL, UGL aso) without having to recompile the entire source.

he z!re, nice Novix! ^_^

One problemo.... actually two... actually three... =)

well, they are not at all serious:

1. the filing system is case sensitive! AHH!
2. your example program, ex002.ns5 sets screen mode for 320x200, but then puts random pixels for 640x480 AHH!
3. your example program, ex002.ns5 doesnt reset the screenmode at the end! AHH!

But apart from that, it is great =]: )

1) Yes, I know, I want it t be. In-fact everything in Novix is case sensitive.

2) I know, that's because I scraped screen 12 (which the example was designed for originally)

3) I know, feel free to edit it, just add: res "QB0" to the end.
And the examples are just something i threw togheter to test stuff, it's nothing really serious.

Btw, have a look at Novix/Bootup.log, I'm thinking about having it as a ormal file, so that if Novix crashes on startup you can still view it (without having to search through all the NVXFS files)

I am also thinking about implementing compression for all NVXFS files (this would be optional)

What do you think?

Yes, but the source code for ex002.ns5 says res "QB0" at the end, yet it still doesnt reset it...

yea novix is cool. took me awhile to find the examples
also i think that menu in the editor should be able to use arrow keys.

edit: also i think if you type a command in the prompt wrong it should tell you.
edit2: also you should have a better opener in the editor

Yey! I found the first bug!

But also i forgot to say before, I agree with WT, You should have some sort of "Bad command or file name" statement.
