I want to test my antivirus program

Any links to download a common virus? I want to test to see if this "Sympatico Freedom Anti-virus" thing actually works (it moniters incoming data, and scans everything for virii).
That is, I want to see if it detects the virus being downloaded.

If you really want it I can dig around and try to find one on a diskette. But that would be old viruses, the, non-internet-spreading kind


(Note, I'm talking about viruses, they DO NOT SPREAD!, Worms on the other hand DO SPREAD... it doesent matter much though, most people call it all virus)

I have some virii on the other computer, I'll send you some later on tonite. They are contained inside a rar, so unless you open them and run the exe, they wont infect your computer.

Awesome. I assume that any half-decent AV program will detect viruses, even compressed?
(the AV doesn't come with a scan-file feature, what it does instead is moniters all incoming data, and scans)
