That's a good choice. I prefer MSN, just because that's what the Waterloo University campus uses, and most of my friends are on it... but if your social circle is on different messengers, then tril's the way to go.

Haven't tried Aim. Someone I knew tried it and told me it blows... haven't felt the need to check it myself, though.
