i'm in to piracy. i have a few p2p progs. but i dont like to use them for programs whatsoever, becuase the title of a file may say it's one thing, but the filename may say it's something completely different, and when you download the file it's something unrelated to filename or title. and if you do get a legit program, it has probably been binded with a virus. eMule is good, but downloads take days, even on a good connection. (but p2p is good for music :wink: )
mIRC is much more reliable, especially since there arent thousands of fakes on there. www.ircspy.com is a great website to search many of IRC's networks for files(clean of porn). www.packetnews.com is another good place (some porn ads. beware)
Websites usually are not the best place to go for downloads (other than the 2 mentioned above, which have no direct downloads, only links to IRC chat rooms where you can then access the download). Mostly because
A: IP tracking, which may be avoided by using a proxy, and suffer much slower download speeds, or
B: many endless links through lots of bullcrap including voting and signing up on random websites, and forever getting spam email from them just to *possibly* get what you want (if your lucky enough, or patient enough to get it). (yes, i know there are a few good ddl sites out there. only a few)
However, i am offering to put a .iso on my website, where you can easily download it at good speed (~400kilobyte/second on my cable line). The website is hosted by Prohosters. But before i put it up i want to make sure people will download it. My cable provider only allows me ~20k/s upload speed (which means it will take a while for a file ~800MB to upload to my webhost via ftp).
If you would like to download this, i will upload it, and you can easily download it. Just post saying you will.
or if you would like to link to it on your website, na_th_an(or anyone else for that matter), that would be good too, just post letting me know that the hours it will take for me to upload will be worth it.
