UGL video modes

I find 'coz of my crappy vid card, that i can use the UGL video modes, but i cna use interrupts to increase screen res...

Whats up w/that?

erm, how do you mean exactly?

UGL uses the VESA BIOS (interrupts) to set the video mode. Maybe you just aren't invoking the interrupt properly.

i worded that so badly....here is a better version

UGL video modes past 320x200, 8bit don't work, but I can manually call the interrupts and get a hi-res video mode...whats the difference?

UGL tries to change the scanline width, which is something your video card may not support.

Indeed. I wrote a program a few years ago to test video cards for the ill-fated FL2 which was going to use the same technique as UGL.

Anyway, you can test the functionality of your video card and each video mode with it:
