Okay...it's not going to be finished by Friday, and I'm not going to rush it out the door just to make an unrealistic deadline which I myself set. So it will come out when it comes out. It will be soon, but not Friday.

Hehe You sound like Bungie, on the release date of Halo 2.

"Ok. its gonna be in 3 months."

3 Months later, "Um, we've pushed back the deadline to the last quarter."

Last quarter of that year comes around and: "We didnt want to rush it, so we have made a new deadline of a year from now."

and so on.... heh

and we've been waiting for Halo 2 for like 4 years now =P
Confirmed release date was only announced at this years E3: November 9th.
And just to make us believe that he was really telling the truth, and bungie was really going to release the game then, he had the date + the Halo 2 logo tattooed on his arm. :o Wierd.

Well, 2 things have had my attention the last few days:

1. RuneScape
2. New game reviews for the upcoming V Planet revival

Self-imposed deadlines are made to be broken anyways. Big Grin

Each level in Two Lords takes no less than two days to create. With the number of levels it has, it will take over a month to do just the level design. Adding new enemy state machines is easy, but since this was one of those projects which was more about learning a new system rather than going from previous experience, a lot of code changes have had to be made over time, and resources shoved around to make everything fit neatly. Presently, the game only uses one main module but that will probably change shortly, as I'm running out of memory in that one module (there's also the DS4QBPP addon module in addition to 2LORDS.BAS).

EDIT: Wow, just found a ridiculous bug in the library. The palette function from DashX uses a static file handle to load a palette. Wrong idea! Damn what a monumental foulup...that minor error caused the whole game to crash. Had to rebuild the object file and recompile my whole library. Nothing that will hurt anything, but damn what a rookie mistake that was on the part of Mr Gump...
