I think there is a PM blocking mod, but the other mod would be unfeasable even if we ignore that it's a bad idea. However, the karma mod for 2.2 gives you the ability to simply ignore posts of people with less karma than you (and I think with the ability to unhide them if you want), which will probably be a better solution.

Cool idea... Karma mod. except what about new people who need help? no one would see them. unless you made the programming help section not karma based :-?

I believe there's a mod to ignore a user. You just click a link in said person's profile and it ignores all their posts until you click to unignore them.

how about just not reading the post when you see the "offending" person's name? I'm sure this would make life a lot easier on the admins, right oracle?
