Ok, just thought I'd ask for the meantime and thank you for the file.

Quote:I got the punctuation font info from the original program by unpacking PAGA1.001 with UNLZEXE and poking around until I found some draw strings.

Now why didn't I think of that :-? ? I looked myself in the exes of episode 1, but I also couldn't find more stuff.

Hey Frenkel, I was hoping you would find your way over hear. I also see that you just joined today.

Good thing I put your e-mail and website here. I'm guessing someone gave you a ring or told you about it in some way or you found it on your own. Or maybe you just knew about it all along and just didn't feel like joining until today.

Well, I guess I can see your name in more than 3 places that I know of. Have fun!

You posted a link to my site and someone clicked on that link. I noticed that a few days ago and so that's how I got here. I didn't sign up earlier, because I didn't have the time to post, now I have.

Well, it's good to see you here. Have you found time to start on the Paganitzu Level Editor? It sure will be great once you get it done though. I've been waiting a long time for one.

I'm trying to reprogram Paganitzu on my own, I'm not creating a Level Editor for the actual game though. I'm just going to create one for what I program in Qbasic.

I've started and have made the water work, Snakes move and shoot, Spiders move around, Diamonds to flash randomly ( now that was an interesting one to figure out on my own )

I have 5 walls, one of which I got from Pagantizu 2 by changing the color red ( in the wall ) to green. ( It looks really good! )

From what I could tell, Keith eliminated one of the walls in Paga1 and made a new one for Paga2. I see why he did this. If you were to take the wall that the pipes go through ( in Paga1 ) and change the Green color to Red, it looks all bloody and crappy.

I have Alabama moving around at the right speed, and I even have the Blue Square thingies slowed down so you can see them at the right speed. ( the Blue Square thingies are those that appear right before the level starts and when you press F6 to restart the level. )
( They move so fast on these newer computers, it seems as though they aren't even there ) ( it's not done randomly either , it's done the same way every time )

I have the False walls with Diamonds in them and False Walls with nothing in them. Now that someone showed me what you were talking about with the fonts, I can put the Secret Wall Messages in.

Of course, I should have known what you were talking about was the DRAW statement in Qbasic. You had the DRAW statement's arguments listed in the Specs.txt ( Chag Editor ). For some reason I confused myself thinking you were talking about something else the whole time.

Plus I had no idea that all I had to do, to view the FONT file, was to use any old Word proccessing program. Gee Wiz, how thick could I get?

Anyways, I still have alot to learn while I try to reprogram it in Qbasic. I bet you could just about do it in a month with the programming that I've seen you do.

Oh, and if you'd like, I could send a copy of the .BAS file just to take a look at what I was able to figure out. My programming skills still need improvement though.

I place myself as a beginner when programming games in QBasic. However, I think I did quite well with what I accomplished and learned to do on my own. Mostly, all of it was just looking at Paganitzu 1 and trying to make the same thing happen in QBasic. The MULTIKEY routine is the only thing I didn't program. I just grabbed it from this site.

See ya around! :bounce:
