A recent fractal
#1
I have posted a recent fractal at quickhost.tk.
http://quickhost.qbtk.com/download.php?id=91
Warning: It is a 400k+ (1024x768x256) file.
It is not set to view in a browser, so right click the link and save it.
It is best seen full screen.

It is a Julia fractal (Real Const:-.746375 Imag Const: .07). I originally came across it while I was doing a fractal animation. Most of it exceeded my maximum count. I had to change my counter from an integer to a long to be able to do it. The maximum count on this image was 137,000 iterations for one pixel. Most were much less (The one over 60,000 are the red dots).

The palette was an accident. I didn't like the original palette, so I tried a negative image and liked it. My accidents frequently seem to be better than my best reasoning.

Thanks dp.

Yes it was done in qb, with the SVGA library for higher resolution.
