Google's G-Mail
#11
Apparently some hotmail accounts got increased to 100Mb just like that. Evidently GMail's started a "email war" which hopefully it will win Big Grin

I don't have an account, but I've asked, so hopefully I'll get one soon Smile

Please don't beg me as I'll get the invitations out when I get more. This thread came a few days late though. Zap, Webberboy, Dark_prevail got invited. whether dark knows or not, I don't know.

It takes awhile to get them. If you just got it, you have to use it for awhile. The more you use, the quicker you receive. When you get them, you will not be notified, there's just a link (says "Invite a friend") next to "create a filter" under the search bar. Click it, fill out name and email, then press send (I think). After that, the person receives an email, they sign up and the cycle begins again.

Also, as I said before, they come in bundles of 3. So if you don't pay attention (like me) you may end up with 6 or 12 or just 3.

Now here I was being happy with my 6MB yahoo limit. But they increase it to 100MB. I knda like the 6mb limit as it makes my mails easier to manage., :*)

See? Rel finds a something bad with the 100 mb limit in yahoo. just create a bunch of folders i guess, rel. It's the only way i can think of managing it easily. either that or switch to a new email that has a low limit. Wink

i myself wouldn't mind getting a g-mail. If someone gets an invite (or 3) could they send me one? It'd be nice to store large files in. It'd certainly make it easier to send myself pictures/files/programs without having to delete a large majority of my email first. Big Grin

Having all that space isn't such a bad thing with gmail because it has the built in search feature. You can leave every message and then search for something if you need it later.

You could always use some kind of free hosting service *cough* http://quickhost.tk *cough* to move those files/pictures/programs

Why do you people want an inbox that big? It's got more MB than my hard drive! What are you going to do with it, run a-bomb simulations?
