Yep, Oracle. It's the Quadratic Formula.
If you look closely though, the formula is derived from the Perfect Square trinomial. AFAIK, here are some manual ways to solve Quads: 1. Zero Factor LAW (A*B=0) =A=0=b=0 2. Standard factoring 3. Extrcting the Root Mostly X=SQR(A) 4. Complete the Square ie. X^2 + 2x + 1 Combine all of that, you get the Quadratic Formula. BTW, you guys know how to TYPE a real X^2??? I don't and it would help if I know. ;*)
