Name files with QB 4.0

in other words, qb.exe.

but yeah, you know the story now. actually, i used qb4.5 not only because i found it first, but that black screen is so depressing, and the bright blue and white one is so happy!

Err, If you compare integer math both are equally slow. However, with floating point, qb 4.5 is slower becuase of a bug whic v1ctors ffix fixes. And with that, they're both just as slow at both integer and floating point math.

yeah, i should've mentioned, that this is relative and pretty much every qb compiler runs sub-par. but that shouldnt be why you're programming qb. it should be because it's easy, fun, and you're a lazy bastard Big Grin

True, true and not so true. You can find lazy bastards programming in any language. (I know a whole bunch of the C++ flavored variety)

The qb community is a phenomenon that many scientists have done research in but haven't been able to explain it. They haven't been able to explain how so many lazy bastards have gathered in one place and why it is that lazy bastards find qb interesting....

what about powerbasic? It's supposed to be like 100 times faster than qb. Perfect for us... lazy...bastards. :bounce:

no libs. i'm done already.

besides, the speed takes away all of the charm. so does lack of an easy way to access mode 13h.

Did you know there is a QB-PB "macro" converter included? So maybe one could get the libs, too.. since they're all done in ASM/C + QB calls.

Well, that's true, you can find the biggest concentration of lazy bastards around there vinculed in one or another way with BASIC. Proof? Just recall how many things projected for QB have been cancelled, including those loads and loads of unfinished RPG engines. But that doesn't negate my point: you can find lazy bastards programming in any language, not only QB.
