Looping PLAY statments in background of a game
#21
What's the problem...I answered this guy's question an hour after he posted it. It's not my fault if he can't read.

Hey, no need to be an ass, I was just asking for help that's all. Plus, maybe you're the one that cannot read, I clearly stated above that I had read the manual, and the examples before if I even posted this, I even had a topic similar to this. Why would I create a topic if I already knew how to do something? My advice, get your dick out of your ass Plasma.

Thanks for the help Adsorken Smile

I love it when the n00bs flame. Mmmm...BBQ.

The link I gave you was to the example in the online help that does EXACTLY what you need. All you had to do was copy and paste that in QB and run it.

If you wanted more specific help, you should have posted your code, instead of getting your panties all in a bunch.

LoL, come to think of it... PLASMA was the one who told me RTFM! From now on, I will always remember Plasma as the guy who tells everyone to RTFM. I suppose that'd get you a lot of posts (1000+, maybe?) if all your post is something like

RTFM

but, that's ok... I guess.....

lol, maybe I should have posted the code, but if you had read my message I said On Play doesn't help. But all is well now. So what if I am a n00b, I really don't care if you better at programming or whatever than me you smartass, what does that give you, more nerd points?

I don't see what's wrong in linking to the manual when the answer is in the manual.

Toonski told you to RTFM.

I did read your message. ON PLAY is what you need to use. You said you tried "a similar example to the help files ON PLAY example". Since you didn't post your code and nobody can read your mind, obviously nobody can give you specific help. You asked for someone to "show me a good(hopefully simple) example", which is what I did.

Instead of getting angry and throwing a tantrum, maybe you should take some advice. In addition to myself, three other people have told you to look in the manual. Do you think maybe the answer could be in there?

Lets just ask Oracle to change the Newbie help forum link to a RTFM link, ok?

The Manual doesnt do a good job of *explaining* things. It has just a line of text and some code which rarely any newbie understands. I remember some people complaining when I explained solutions to problems with a working example. So keeping that in mind, pointing to code with some text attached to it - is just double standards :rotfl:

Seriously, obviously people take the efforts to post in this forum to get some help and not to get redirected to some help page that they have already seen :-?
