That is because Z!re is a bit stupid, and uses a lot of un-needed stuff when executing NS5x scripts.
Whch is being changed at the moment, horray for lazy me being a silly monkey when first coding it. It should be a lot faster in the next release.
Also, bytecode is a lot faster, the same engine QbGuru has, but with bytecode would go VROOOM, instead of: vrom.
But it's a damn good engine, damn good.
You need a name for it.

Tnx, but to convert it to Bytecode, it'be almost like redoing the engine alltogether. Maybe I'll later try to code that one too, but at this moment nah,

Why does noone likes my Avatars :???: Okay so just that you peaple wouldn't see nightmares because of them and then later send me checks for their therapy sessions, I take it down.
Happy? BTW new version of Script engine is almost ready, it has some minor bugfixes and supports LONG and DOUBLE type variables, so it will be possible to measure speed of the scripting engine.
Also Vongodric started coding fake os already using script engine and his own gui.
Also we wanted to ask that is someone willing to a bit help us. Me and neither Von are very good at web programminf, but we want to have a project webpager for both fake-os and script engine, so if someone wants to help us then please, we'd be most appretiated.
