error loading GWbasic

I need ur help !
i have PIII-win98, when i goto DOS mode and try to start "GWBasic" it returns to windows mode and i receive a message of "illigal operation" in the details of the message it says" The program tried to execute an invalid instruction

Fault Location OCEO:0138

Interrupts in service : None

use other versions of qb like qb1.1, qb4.5, qb7.1 or try redownloading gwbasic etc...

If that happens then you're not in Dos mode in the first place.

Yes, are you using the DOS Command Prompt shell thingy from Windows, or are you actually booting in DOS mode?
