I'm using Windows XP, and when I press ALT+CTRL+DEL, it normally brings up the Task Manager. The problem is that now when I do it, it's missing the top part. The title bar, the minimize, maximize, and close buttons, and additionally, it's missing the little tabs that let me view the processes and stuff. All I get is a box, with the running programs in it, which is all that's really necessary, but I'm trying to figure out what's wrong.

I had that too... Making a new account and deleting your current one will do the trick (at least for me it did).

Weird.

I can honestly say that that's never happened to me. That's the joy you experience with having a PC that is yours and no one else's. Big Grin No login screen, it just boots. The way it should be.

One night I had a dream where I was breaking balls. The next morning, BALLSBREAKER was born.

Rocku: lol, have you tried in the administrator's account? I get that problem with WinNT 4.0(or something at my univ). But usually reopening the taskmanager does the trick =P.

No!
try this! double click on the grey space around. It is set to a special mode allowing you to make the most use of it. You can restore it back t the original mode just by double clicking on the grey space! No reinstalling users or such!!!

On WinXP, you should get a box with buttons on it to lock computer, start task manager, etc. when you press Ctrl-Alt-Del. Pressing Ctrl-Shift-Esc should get you the Task Manager.
