They spelled Kevin Sobro

Only after I went through virtually all the choices did I get "Andromeda"

Not impressive. Ok, well... the amount of stuff is impressive, though.

The most impressive database I've ever seen was that about the "Bacon Number". Even the least famous Spanish actors were related... And the highest Bacon Number I got was 5 ... Tongue

The Bacon number has to do with actor Kevin Bacon. All the actors/actresses who have worked with him directly, have nB=1. All actors/actresses who have worked with those, but not with Kevin Bacon directly, have nb=2, and so forth.

It is impossible to find someone with nB>5 (the database answered with nB = infinity when the actor/actress was not in the database)

http://www.cs.virginia.edu/oracle/

Try if you beat nB=5 Big Grin.

For example, I entered Elsa Pataky, a Spanish actress who has acted in a couple of TV series, videoclips, advertisements and a couple of films as a secodary actress, and I got this output:

Quote:The Oracle says: Elsa Pataky has a Bacon number of 3.

Elsa Pataky was in Sin noticias de Dios (2001) with Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz was in Waking Up in Reno (2002) with Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron was in Trapped (2002) with Kevin Bacon

I tried again with Laura Manzanedo

Quote:The Oracle says: Laura Manzanedo has a Bacon number of 4.

Laura Manzanedo was in Mas de mil camaras velan por tu seguridad (2003) with Antonio Hortelano
Antonio Hortelano was in Cosa de brujas (2003) with Jorge Sanz
Jorge Sanz was in Further Gesture, A (1996) with Pruitt Taylor Vince
Pruitt Taylor Vince was in Trapped (2002) with Kevin Bacon

I can't remember who was the nB=5 ...

The point after the database is that every actors and actresses are related in some way.

i saw this one thing where the program showed you a set of cards and guessed which one you picked... pretty scary, it was right every time :o

Pr0gger, I played that one too, but I figured out what it did right away because it was rather simple. Play that game again, and look at all of the cards it gives you to choose from, after that, you'll notice that it took out *all* of the cards from before and displayed a whole set of new ones.
