VB6 + Winsock + Chat Client = not working!

i think it has to do with the port issue... the issue of im not using the right port number. i cant really test it because im nested deep inside my dads stupid MS network, but when i try to connect to the server hosted on someone else's comp online, it still wont work! and its worked with other people's programs... so umm, any ideas? btw the latest client/server builds are at www.quickhost.tk on top.

well this one has better/more server functions and it said fuk it to the richtextbox control. sitll doesnt work across inet though =(

ALSO!!! you can mess with the ports on both sides (server or client) so if anyone feels like testing between each other, please do so, and then tell me the results
