See it in all its mpeg4 compressed glory here. Not much, but hey, at least we know for certain that it's coming.

I think books to movies are very difficult todo and will undoubtldly not be liked by some fans of the book.

You're right, Wildcard. But sometimes book to movie get great to. Smile

When I heard that Tolkien's Lord of the ring were about to be filmed by Peter Jackson I thought that the movies would be really bad. I was a huge fan of Tolkien's Middle-Earth fantasy world (both by books and pen & paper rpgs) and I was very sure that the movies would be poor and not at all as great as the books were (are). Well, when I was the first movie I was amazed....the movie was great and I couldn't come up with things I would have seen made different (well, to portrait the books each movie should be like 7 hours each). And when the extended versions came to LOTR1 & LOTR2 I was even more happy, the films were great and Jackson had really portaited the books as I think they "should be"...

Now, all we (me) can pray for is that Peter Jackson will be the director of The Hobbit (don't know if it's decided that the book will be filmed yet, but after the success with LOTR I can almost promise it will be) and that he will do the same great work with that as he has done with the LOTR-triology.
