To all of you:
Hello here now. Letâs get you some eye-opening stuff about this. Quote:I honestly don't think getting a console for the graphics is such a good idea. Personally, the deciding factor for me is the games for that console. I am in *total* 100% agreement with you, Fling-master. You know something now, I believe all of that personally with all of my heart, I do not even care what kind of genre the kind of game is, be it a racing game, RPG, 2D shmup, platform, you name it. And what makes a game shine out loud and then some (besides just pretty animated pictures of graphics, cinemas, and polygons alone)? The gameplay, as in for instance the quality of the never-before-done moves of the Super Mario Bros., Metroid, and Namcoâs Klonoa series and such other great hits you can possibly think of yourself. ! These are the key bullseye factors that can either make or break a game period, no matter how good-looking or cool-sounding it even is. And HQSneaker, Iâll be very honest with you and others pertaining to this topic. If I were you, man, Iâd go with the PlayStation 2, *simply* because of the TREMENDOUS gameplay (and even in at least some to a giant number of cases, excellent character development in the game characters as well!) in RPGs like the current and latest Final Fantasy XI from Square-Enix, platformers (2D and 3D), any kind of genre imaginable for the system itself, plus a larger-than-ever software library for it that truly makes sense as a gamerâs dream come true!! (Did I mention that the system has full backwards compatibility for PS1 oldie games as well?) ! So, between Xbox and PlayStation 2, Iâd go with the second choice indeed. It may just be your best bet between the two. In closing here, I want to say for all of you to enjoy the rest of this fine week and remember indeed that in video gaming, it is such original quality gameplay that makes the game indeed. :wtnod: See you all again. WC, there's the prob. I can't prove it's not my fault in any way =|
Jofers, I had a N64 a few years ago, meh... the only games I liked were FIFA and Mario 64, and some neat racing game... Well... my conscience says repair the PS2 and save money, but are there any fps's/military games for it? You know, good ones. And by that, I mean better quality than XBOX

uh... dark, Halo2 comes out November 9th here! so
but yeah, i had mine preordered for as long as i can remember, i'll be waiting outside of gamestop as soon as school gets out November 8th Quote:acutally the gamecube has the best graphics, best loading timesyou want a napkin or something? you got some crap commin out of your mouth is all. Best graphics? no. absolutely not. Fastest loading times? probably, cause it only has to load the crappy graphics and buggy code. I can't tell you how many times my Gamecube has frozen up. PS2 doesn't seem to have the problem, Xbox doesn't seem to have that problem (despite what you hear. ex: "I was just pouring molt and lava on the thing and it quit on me. what kind of crap is that" or "so i took this game-disk out of the litter box, which is where i keep all my valuables, and it didn't work anymore!" or maybe even "teh billz gatez is evil, don't buyz his Pr0dects") That, my freind, is why gamecube isn't even an option.
the mind is a beautiful thing, use it and make the world a more beautiful place.

Quote:"teh billz gatez is evil, don't buyz his Pr0dects")heh, let's not forget this is a forum devoted to Microsoft QBASIC ;o ;o no one here thinks that (nor should be thinking it) You're right, though, GameCube does freeze up (about as often as the original grey PSX). The system even tells you that it is unalbe to continue the game (like a form of the BSOD!!! O_O)
ammit potato!

Quote:uh... dark, Halo2 comes out November 9th here! so Pfffft, well, like I said to you on MSN. In terms of graphics, none of the systems are really that far between each other, and needless to say, none of the systems have "crappy" graphics. Maybe there's a few games that aren't really nice to look at, but overall, all of the systems are capable of doing some massive things. I've already said why I hate the X-Box. Sure, they may have their new controllers, but they aren't the default. If some third party-company working for Nintendo suddenly came out with a "think to play" mind-reading type controller, where using hands wasn't even optional, I can't suddenly say GC is the best system, that just wouldn't be fair. And yes, GC comes under XBox in terms of grapics, but not far under at all, I've read it from numerous (official) places. PS2 is at the bottom, GC is second place, and XBox is first, but like I said, the differences are so small and tiny, that nobody really cares. That's why Soul Calibur runs pretty much exactly the same on all three systems.

Most games are multi-platform too. XBox has extra graphical features, like fur-shading, but most games are ported without using any of the extra features. ...at least all the games that I have are.

Actaully, GC has some Fur shading too. A lot of those types of effects can be seen in that StarFox Adventures game.
Although Nintendo made the horrible decision of selling Rareware (read as "selling their soul") to Microsoft, so more of those effects will be seen on XBox, which is why I'm still trying to get one.
