Nice intro, kind of dark, which I like.

30-40s in, a bit confusing, lots of sounds.

The vocals are a bit unclear, but sound cool anyways. (Is it you on vocals?)

~1m40s, the drums could be louder, almost unhearable.

~1m50s -> 2m20s the vocals and music are to unclear, sounds weird, like a bad recording.

2m20s nice break and slowdown

~3m50s nice buildup

~4m35s very nice (the no vocals part) very very nice

~5m20s nice

Ok, overall, it's too loud, try lowering the volume onthe samples, it will make them clearer, as you now suffer from flattening which makes the sounds melt into each other and sound bad.

The vocals + the background thump string thingy togheter, are very unclear, each by it's own sounds awesome, but togheter they just cancel each other out and sound weird.

But it's a good start, it could use some more work though. The blurry samples (possibly caused by mp3 compression, flattening due to high sample volume) make it kind of hard to listen to, you feel an urge to change song, as it's just to hard to listen to. You have to think too much (try to figue out sounds and words) to just enjoy the song.

Do you like NIN? Smile

It's so cool, but yeah. It sounds bad sometimes 'cause the samples are oversaturated, and the mix is not very well done. I like the song overall, you just have to work on the recording. It sounds like if it was recorded on a radiocassette. It's a pitty, 'cause the composition is great. I love this kind of music, and you seem to be a great musician, as the harmonies are really well built.

What do you use to record/mix? If you use ACID PRO, I can help you with the mix.

Well, I use it as the final mixdown utility. Basicly I use many programs to do the music (I use several trackers and sequencers, and many live recorded tracks with instruments, voices and whatnot), and then I export the tracks and I build up the song with Acid. Acid lets you equalize/mix every track just fine, apply effects and stuff. I've friends that use Reason or Fruity Loops but always end up with Acid for the mixing.

Acid is simply a godsend when it comes to "build" your song from your recorded/synthesized tracks.

Acid Pro is great, it's got a nice effects rack, and overall its easy and good to use.

I recently got Audition 1.5, which rocks. I mean, it is unbelievable. The interface is surprisingly good, and the multitrack editing is really awesome. I was very impressed, and the effects are also really good. The singletrack editor is sweet, and I had lots of littel tools that were useful.

Usually, I record my stuff through Audition, clean it up there, and add any equalization (like making my guitar sound like a bass, or adding some tone to my classical guitar recordings to make it sound like a steel string etc.), and then import it into Acid Pro. But now it looks like I will just be staying in Audition.

Audition used to be CoolEdit, right?
If so, then I agree-- GREAT program. The multitrack editor is indeed superb.

Sure, but I'm pretty accustomed to ACID. I use Audition to record the samples, and build the whole song on ACID. I've been taking a glance at Audition 1.5's multitrack editor. Great improvement over Cool Edit 2.0's! I think it has almost everything that ACID has, but as I am "made to ACID", it's hard to change my mind, plus I find ACID more comfortable and Audition doesn't have a beatmapper and that godsend called "chopper" Wink. I'll stick to ACID Wink
