JS: It was my intuition. I know you arent in a weak position but all things considered she *is* the mother which gives her a big edge over you(not legally). Its just the thinking of the dumb society we are living in.

PA's laws are a bit different, and JS covered it pretty well. Basically...in PA, it doesn't matter who's the mother or the father, neither has a gender-specific advantage (unlike many US states which favor the mother). JS would win this one hands-down, no questions asked.
(I lived in PA for 14 months and had to learn its child laws since my fiancee at the time and I were trying to get full custody of her child and allow me to adopt the son.)
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
