Ok... Ok... here's an other pic
The Dutch are very strange people... (lol, I'm Dutch ), they effectively celebrate a day with Santa Claus twice, once on 5th December (Sinterklaas) and once on 25th December (Christmasman, or in Dutch, "Kerstman"). Oh, and there's no such thing like Halloween or Thanksgiving in The Netherlands, but we do have Saint Maarten

I'm kind of surprised that Halloween/Samhain isn't celebrated...it's celebrated in most of the world, as it's a very ancient holiday and was celebrated far and wide in almost every culture of the ancient times...
Thanksgiving is pretty much a US-only holiday afaik, although I heard that Canada has one as well.
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Saint Maarten is every year the 11th of November. On this day (in the evening, when it's dark), children go out (with a nice colorful, usually paper, lantern) and knock on all doors in their street and sing a song for the people who open the door. Then they get candy or nice treats

Quote:Ok... Ok... here's an other pic That's saint nicolas. our X-Mas clause is simply the santa clause the americans know too. :o Santa Clause was thought up by Coca cola. Saint Nicolas actually existed. Sinterklaas != Santa Clause :o
